WIRE — Pageant fans and aficionados saw the dreams of four beauty queens come true over the weekend as the Binibining Pilipinas organization crowned its winners for this year's pageant. This year's Binibining Pilipinas International is Baguio representative Gwendoline Meliz Frias Soriano, while Sasha-Juli Belle Penuliar Lacuna was named Binibining Pilipinas Globe. Meanwhile, Julianne Raine Amigo Antonio and Tracy Mae C. Sunio were named first and second runner-up, respectively. The four queens competed against 31 other queens and went through several challenges, such as the national costume competition that featured creations by designers like Ehrran Montoya, Simeon Cayetano, and Louis Pangilinan. The queens have also taken part in the Grand Parade of Beauties held at the Araneta City Grounds, and in a couple of Lagoon shows where they modeled swimsuits and sports attire.
