WIRE โ Taiwan has officially extended its visa-free entry privileges for Philippine passport holders for another year. In a Facebook post on Friday, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines announced that Filipinos can continue enjoying visa-free travels to Taiwan for up to 14 days until July 2027. In reciprocity for the visa-free privileges the Philippines has extended to Taiwan nationals, Taiwan has also extended its visa-free entry for Philippine passport holders for another year, TECO said in the post. With the extension, Philippine passport holders may travel to Taiwan for up to 14 days starting August 1, 2026 until July 31, 2027. Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) also released a statement on its website on Friday regarding the extension of the visa-free privileges. After evaluating the effectiveness of the above measures in past years, the relevant agencies decided to extend the trial visa-free entry program for one year for nationals of Thailand, Brunei, and the Philippines from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, MOFA said. The Manila Economic Cultural Office (MECO) has also recently announced the extension of visa-free entry for Taiwan passport holders to the country for another year.
