Team Malawi hails Scotland-based Malawians for Games support

Team Malawi has thanked Scotland based Malawians for the support rendered during the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Speaking during a special dinner that Association of Malawians in Scotland (AMS) hosted on Saturday night in honour of Team Malawi, Malawi National Council of Sports board chairperson Jim Kalua said the support helped Malawian athletes to feel at home during the Games. "On behalf of the minister [Alfred Gangata], let me express our gratitude to the association for the warm hospitality, the delicious meal and the unwavering support throughout the Commonwealth Games campaign. I also thank the athletes, coaches and officials for their dedication and commitment in representing the nation with pride. "The Association of Malawians hosted us to appreciate the teams and they gave us food. We appreciate them for the vocal support they rendered throughout.
