WIRE โ€” FDH Bank Premiership side Blue Eagles and Sana Group of Companies have signed a one-year K100 million sponsorship deal. The sponsorship was unveiled at Malawi Police Service (MPS) national headquarters in Lilongwe on Saturday. Through the sponsorship, Sana Group of Companies has purchased football equipment worth K80 million for the team and contributed K20 million cash. Sana Group Managing Director Rauf Chaudry said the sponsorship reflected the company's commitment to give back to the community. "We feel this is our social responsibility. We should support our football players and also give back to our community," Chaudry said. He said the company chose Eagles following a good working relationship with the Malawi Police Service-sponsored team. According to Chaudry, the company would extend the sponsorship beyond this season. He also pledged to buy a new bus for the team. Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration) Noel Kayira applauded Sana Group of Companies for the support. "We really appreciate the support from Sana. With this partnership, we expect the team to fight for all trophies this season," Kayira said. Kayira urged players and technical panel to exercise discipline. Sana's logo will be displayed on the Eagles jersey for the 2026 football season. Currently, Eagles are in the Airtel Top 8 semi-finals and will face Mighty Wanderers next week at a venue to be announced.
